This weekend a family lost their home due to a fire in khayelitsha. A mother and her three still school children were left stranded.
Filippina Fatima Busakwe, an unemployed widow whose only income is a grant and suffers from what is called “Elephant’s leg”. She is unable to work or walk long distance. She is a resident of Khayelitsha, Site B and is left stranded. Tragedy struck (when) this family of four lives came crushing when they lost their home due to a fire outbreak early hours of the morning. They had the neighbours putting out blazes of fire.
This family has been left destitute as she is left with many unanswered questions from her kids of where they will be staying? eating/ what they will be wearing/. This family is left with nothing but an empty plot covered with ashes of their belongings.
Mustadafin Foundation assisted the family with food, clothing and blankets however more is needed to rebuild this family’s home. Assist us this festive season by donating furniture and building material for her home.
